The Back Story

With the help of Galen Suiter of Alabama, a long time Gravely mechanic, collector and a friend to the boys at Cogan Valley Machine Co, his research made it possible that we were able to find a match for the Gravely valve specs.

The Problem

The problem has been the price of the valve, not that they were unavailable from Gravely. Now as to the price; we have found the OEM Gravely valve selling at times for more that $50.00 each. That is why we needed to fix the problem.

Solution:
The boys at Cogan Valley Machine Co now have;
"Problem Solved"

The valve that we found was close; but not drop-in-ready. There were several areas that needed to be machined or modified to bring it to a valve of dimensions that could be used in the T-Head engine

Gravely Model L T Head Engine
Intake / Exhaust Valve

This valve will fit the Gravely Model L T-Head motor. What we have is an Exhaust valve, but because of its metal's physical properties, will work perfectly for the Intake as well.

NOTE: (Conversely, an intake valve will not work for use as an exhaust valve due to its metal's physical properties.)
